Our client a leading European company specializing in circular economy is currently looking for Director Strategy & Development CFO to join the Group’s head quarters in Warsaw. The person appointed for the post will be responsible, among other things, for leading the development of new business opportunities for the organization, including creating strategic plans, supervising, and managing strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing the business environment, including assessing new development opportunities and evaluating their business potential
  • Researching and identifying market trends and competition to develop effective strategies
  • Monitor current trends that may impact the organization's operations
  • Identifying new market opportunities and implementing innovative technological solutions supporting business development
  • Presenting forecasts and recommended initiatives/acquisitions, etc.
  • Co-creating and implementing the company's long-term development strategy, including communication within the organization
  • Translating development directions/strategies into specific operational goals
  • Setting up annual company plans
  • Ability to define short-term and long-term KPIs and their ongoing verification. Implementing corrective actions
  • Identifying and implementing synergies between companies within the capital group
  • Supervising the implementation of strategic projects and preparing reports for company management boards/supervisory boards
  • Building highly motivated teams, developing their competencies, ensuring proper resource allocation, and efficient project management
  • Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of undertaken activities and making necessary adjustments
  • Supervision over strategy implementation
  • Identifying and addressing weaknesses in the company's operations
  • Building partnerships and establishing external contacts
  • Monitoring competition and identifying potential threats (risk management)

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading an organization through significant operational and strategic changes
  • Ability to guide the company through complex challenges and make key decisions
  • TRack record of leading teams and achieving high performance in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in cost optimization, budgeting, and ensuring the financial liquidity of the organization
  • Ideally minimum 7 years of experience in a managerial/strategic position in the environmental protection, energy, or industrial sector
  • Readiness to implement modern technologies and solutions supporting sustainable development
  • Ability to build authority through action, effective communication, and collaboration at various organizational levels
  • Experience in restructuring and change management, as well as adaptability to dynamic market conditions
  • Very good understanding of the energy sector
  • Creative with strategic thinking
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to make accurate decisions based on data analysis and risk assessment
  • Openness to modern technologies
  • Good knowledge of analytical tools, including financial modeling, business analysis, project management, and business valuation
