Our client a leading European company specializing in circular economy is currently looking for CFO to join a leading position in the office in Warsaw.
Responsibilities:
- Securing external financing (equity, debt, grants) from banks, funds, private and institutional investors, LPs, and non-bank financial institutions in Poland and abroad
- Structuring financing for development transactions, including M&A and greenfield projects
- Strong knowledge of the senior debt market, project finance, mezzanine finance, and the investor market
- Cooperation with financing banks (financial institutions), law firms, auditors, and other external advisors
- Preparing an integrated financial model that outlines the operational conditions of the project and its financing tranches
- Creating and executing the financial strategy of the Capital Group, shaping internal financial reporting
- Preparing business plans, including those required for discussions with banks/financial institutions
- Overseeing the preparation of (consolidated) financial statements and reports for capital providers
- Active participation in the development and implementation of ownership financial strategies
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to the Supervisory Board
- Employment policy, management, motivation, and development of employees in the supervised area
- Supervision of the preparation of the annual budget and multi-year plans, as well as monitoring their execution
- Shaping the tax policy
- Optimizing cost structures and working capital levels
- Responsibility for financial liquidity, currency risk hedging, and interest rate risk management
- Proposing and coordinating initiatives aimed at improving financial results and streamlining the operations of Group companies in Poland
- Managing the budget and informing the Supervisory Board about the level of investment necessary to achieve goals
- Providing financial management information to the Boards of local companies and the Supervisory Board
- Cooperation with the Group's headquarters in Luxembourg
Requirements:
- Higher education in a relevant field (finance, accounting, economics)
- Additional professional qualifications in finance/management such as CIMA, ACCA, MBA, or Certified Auditor being an asset
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar position, such as CFO or Finance Director, with experience in handling capital groups or large enterprises
- Experience in securing, cooperating, and negotiating with financing institutions both in the Polish and international markets
- Knowledge of investment project evaluation principles
- Investment experience in a PE/VC fund or M&A advisory is welcome
- Practical knowledge of ERP-class systems and experience in their implementation/optimization will be an additional asset
- Knowledge of tax regulations, management reporting standards, and strong expertise in controlling, accounting, and finance
- Ability to assess the suitability and selection of tools and methods for task execution
- Strong results orientation, with an entrepreneurial mindset for scaling the business
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel / BI tools and fluency in English
