Responsibilities:
- Support the operational processes to acquire, manage and dispose of real estate assets located predominantly in France, Belgium and Germany
- Provide efficient accounting and administration services in relation to real estate assets
- Manage vendor engagement, budgeting and settlement processes
- Provide responsive service and support the portfolio management team and other stakeholders
- Ensure integrity of property information such as valuation, income and expense within the financial reporting systems
- Help to manage workflow tasks within the company such as new property setup, lease management and vacancies
- Ensure compliance with procedures and controls and internal risk policies
- Manage internal and external loan balances and support relationships with finance providers
- Preparation of tax and regulatory reports in relation to French, Belgian and German Real Estate
- Assist in corporate reporting and corporate governance for property holding companies
- Actively engage or manage the audit process and the preparation of the interim and year-end financial statements at both a local and consolidated level
Requirements:
- Fluent English, as well as French and/or German
- The candidate will have experience of accounting and administration within a real estate environment in France, Belgium and Germany
- Experience required of service charge accounting, property insurance and related reporting activities
- Strong reconciliation and investigation skills are essential
- An ability to work cross-team and cross-department and influence others will be important within this role
- Good communication skills are critical and the candidate must be able to articulate ideas coherently to colleagues, third party vendors, internal customers and external clients
- Attention to detail and a good work ethic is important
- Good interpersonal skills as the position requires daily contact with Portfolio Managers, Research Professionals, Financial and other Administrative staff
- Strong business analysis and Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative as needed, to manage daily tasks and special projects
- An individual who is professional, pro-active with a high level of personal integrity and focus on the customer is crucial
- Assertive and self motivated and an ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
- A true team player who will be happy to volunteer to assist colleagues when necessary
- Utmost discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Good investment administration experience within a real estate or custody environment
- Good corporate governance experience
- Experience of coordinating or managing a year-end audit process
- Experience of using Real Estate Accounting Systems such as Horizon / Qube
